- Notes: Shortly before the comet rose, an unfortunate layer of altocumulus settled over the eastern sky; it was totally clear to the west; initially, the clouds were so opaque I couldn't see the comet so I had to make an educated guess; despite the "bad luck", the clouds offer a faint glimpse of the drama unfolding as I was trying to capture the comet between momentary breaks; even though mother nature took away my clear sky, she gave up a spectacularly bright meteor.
